Inecosolar and Finusolprima Collaborate to Propel Sustainable Practices with 264 kWp Rooftop Solar Installation in Bekasi Factory

A Transformative Partnership for Cleaner, Greener Energy in Indonesia

In a significant stride towards fostering sustainability in the pharmaceutical sector, PT Ineco Solar Solutions (“Inecosolar”), a subsidiary of Yinson Renewables, and PT Finusolprima Farma Internasional (“Finusolprima”), a vital entity of PT Kalbe Farma Tbk, have joined forces for a strategic collaboration. The aim is to install a cutting-edge 264 kWp rooftop solar photovoltaic (PV) system at Finusolprima’s factory in Bekasi, heralding a pioneering initiative in the adoption of clean energy.

A Strategic Collaboration for Sustainable Growth
This collaboration underscores Inecosolar’s standing as a leading Energy as a Service (EaaS) provider and Finusolprima’s dedicated commitment to environmental stewardship. In a sector grappling with sustainability challenges, this partnership sets a new standard for responsible business practices.

Environmental Impact and Carbon Reduction
The rooftop solar PV solution is anticipated to avert approximately 250 tonnes of carbon emissions annually upon completion. This will account for around 5% of the factory’s electricity needs, making a significant impact on reducing Finusolprima’s environmental footprint.

Mr. Benoît Prim, Managing Director of Inecosolar, emphasized the company’s commitment to supporting Indonesia’s renewable energy targets, stating, “At Inecosolar, we are passionate about helping businesses and communities in Indonesia lower their carbon footprint and operate more efficiently and sustainably.” This collaboration aligns with government objectives while showcasing Inecosolar’s innovative business model, offering Finusolprima a comprehensive package covering financing, construction, operation, and maintenance without any upfront costs.

Leading the Charge in Sustainable Practices

This project represents the second rooftop solar PV initiative undertaken by Inecosolar, following the agreement with Lazada Indonesia in September 2023. The first project, nearing completion, involves the installation of a 396 kWp solar panel system at Lazada’s facility in Cimanggis, West Java. This endeavor is expected to generate over 555 MWh per year, avoiding an estimated 400 tonnes of carbon emissions.

A Shared Vision for a Greener Future

While not a joint venture, the collaboration between Inecosolar and Finusolprima stands as a testament to the power of partnerships in driving sustainable practices. As both companies work together to harness the potential of solar energy, they contribute significantly to the Indonesian Government’s ambitious target of achieving a 23% renewable energy mix by 2025.

In conclusion, this partnership serves as a beacon for the integration of clean energy solutions in the corporate landscape, demonstrating that environmental responsibility and business growth can go hand in hand. As the Bekasi factory project unfolds, it becomes a shining example of how industry leaders can pave the way towards a more sustainable and resilient future.
